CogVM arguments in Win32

Hi list! I've never used Pharo on Windows before, but we're starting to package a multi-platform app right now and I've just found out command line arguments don't work like I thought they would. I need to run the image headless, so I figured: bin-win32\Pharo -headless shared\Pharo2.0.image Would do the trick, but it's not working. Pharo /? doesn't give any hints either, and I can't seem to find the docs for the Windows VM anywhere. Does anybody know where I can find a Win32 VM reference? Thanks! -- Bernat Romagosa.

Smalltalk environments offer a very high development productivity, unmatched by their successors. Come do some pair programming with us and experience yourself the advantages of a real OO environment" The meetup will take place Saturday, February 1, 2014, from 9AM until 5PM, building AW. This room has 72 seats, a VGA video projector and wireless internet. More information will be available later. If there are volunteers to record video content, the FOSDEM organization kindly offered to provide needed equipment & instructions. Please let me know if you would be willing to spend some time pointing a camera at a speaker. Proposals on content and format are welcome. People interested in running a session should send me an email at stephan ( @ ) stack ( dot ) nl with 'FOSDEM2014â in the subject and the following information: - Their name - The project they are associated with - A short bio, to be put on the website along with their speaker name - (optionally) a picture of themselves - The title of their session (which will go on the website and in the booklet) - A abstract describing the session in further detail. - The desired length of the session. - The desired time slot in which they want to hold the session. I will send out updates on a regular basis to the lists and anyone stating his interest. Suggested values for the duration are 55min, 25min, 6m40 (Pecha Kucha). Hi Yanni, Then how do people sanitize the values to avoid SQL Injection? I remember using prepared statements with PG back in PG 6.x with Perl's DBD::Pg, it was the recommended practice back then (circa '00). As another example, some years ago we had some CPU issues with the DB server (Oracle 9i), because our ORM generated lots of queries, and each query needed to be compiled every time we ran it with different values. Is there a plan to add support for this? My main concern now it's not CPU but security. Thanks in advance! Esteban A. I just looked over the postgres docs at: http://www.postgresql.org/docs/7.4/static/protocol.html http://www.postgresql.org/docs/7.3/static/protocol.html The feature you want is called "Extended Query" in the postgres docs, and is appears in PostgreSQL 7.4, but not in PostgreSQL 7.3. Note also that the V2 Frontend/Backend Protocol is used for PostgreSQL 7.3., whereas the V3 Protocol is used for PostgreSQL 7.4.

I'm using PGConnection from the PostgresV2 package. I'd like to use prepared statements to avoid SQL Injection and continuous recompilation of the query.
