Peter There are some references to really old classes :) Preferences does not exist (thank thank thank) for example Have a look at the Settings chapter in the pharobyexample2 book. Excellent! I suggested to stephan to port his book to the Pharo by example latex format and I read all the book but he did not have the time, so I gave up Too bad this would be a valuable book. Now since the license is not the same that the pharo book (i.e. it is free but not share-a-likeâ¦ http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ ) I will not do anything. Nautilus plugin to add chasing implementor browsing

This is my first attempt. Did I do it right? (I'm still learning). It works in Pharo 2.0. To test; load this code in monticello: MCHttpRepository Â Â location: 'http://ss3.gemstone.com/ss/ChasingNautilusPlugin' Â Â user: '' Â Â password: '' Open the Nautilus Plugins Manager (by clicking the drop down arrow at the top right of a nautilus window). Add ImplementorsChasingPlugin. Then open a new nautilus window and look at a method. Nautilus should now show you a list of all the message sends by that method. Clicking on those shows you a list of the places they are implemented. Is there something with this functionality already in Nautilus? I couldn't find it. Cheers.

Text Diff

Hi All, I tried to do a text diff using DiffMorph. But if compared strings contain CR character, the display seems not be accurate. Example: s1 := 'ab', String space, String cr, 'd', String space, String cr, 'ef'. s2 := 'ab', String cr, 'd', String cr, 'ef'. (DiffMorph from: s1 to: s2) openInWindow. In this example, d (on line 2) is highlighted while it should not IMHO. Hello, I am Roberto Minelli, a PhD student in the REVEAL research group at the Faculty of Informatics of the University of Lugano. I am exploring Smalltalk, and Pharo, for the first time and I am open to suggestions and tips & trick. Shortly I would like to work on something concrete to get in touch with Smalltalk. One of the things I am interested in, is retrieving entries from an existing PostgreSQL database. To this aim it would be great if some to you could point me in the right direction. ;) I also heard that there are some very cool "extensions" to the Pharo IDE (i.e., code completion, code browsing, etc). Another reason is that there could be a nil in your collection, by design or not, so that returning nil on not found would result in both of these (OrderedCollection with: nil) detect: [ :each | each isNil ] ifNone: [ nil ]. (OrderedCollection with: #somethingElse) detect: [ :each | each isNil ] ifNone: [ nil ]. being nil, so that you don't know the answer to what you want to know. Cool. I am sure that the main reason why FMSound did not work was, that it is by default disabled in pharo. :-((( I checked your snippets and found this behavior: "SoundPlayer boinkScale" works fine, even if sound is disabled in the pharo settings. "FMSound" is working fine", but only if sound is enabled in the pharo settings. "SampleSound" example sounds really strange on OS X. OrderedCollection detect: <- exception if not found?
