First Steps

Hi, well, I think I'm starting to get the object thing. I coded up the beginnings of a BTree package .. and I think I'm sold on Smalltalk - I really love the debugger!! If anyone has 5 minutes to kill having a look and give some feedback, I'd appreciate it. It's in squeaksource - I think I set it up so anyone can see it ... let me know if it isn't (and how to make it visible too! :) It only has an add function so far (and the page search is only linear - I'll get to that). useage x := BTree withOrder: 2. x add: 11. It doen't work. Romain I've looked at it. The problem is that SeasideHosting (thus SmallHarbour :) is rather old and Magritte seems to be used in an obsolete way. So the MAConditionError is not catch anymore by (removed in Seaside 3) MAValidationDecoration>>processChildCallbacks: So I put an ugly hack in SHLoginComponent waiting for rewriting it the right way (but not now too tired). I used the following script (about 2 months ago I think ) in Pharo 1.3 "SqueakDBX" Gofer new squeaksource: 'MetacelloRepository'; package: 'ConfigurationOfSqueakDBX'; load. ConfigurationOfSqueakDBX project latestVersion load. "GLORP" Gofer new squeaksource: 'MetacelloRepository'; package: 'ConfigurationOfGlorpDBX'; load. ConfigurationOfGlorpDBX project latestVersion load. II use DBXTestCase for my test with the code I send in my email (is it ok for you?), but I will have alook at DBXQueryTest too. No problem to put it in the test suite - it makes me remember that I still didn't send my license agreement to Stephane but I will do it asap... Best way to stop a process listening to a socket

Hi all, Suppose I have a process started w/ fork executing socket>>waitForAcceptFor: with a long deadline. Now suppose that I want it to to stop waiting, before the deadline expires. To stop it immediately, I've found out that signaling it with Process>>signalException and handling it in the Process' code by a Process>>BlockClosure>>on:do: works as expected.
