install system fonts on linux

In pharo 1.1, in the settings manager, I can "Update fonts from system" and have access to all/most ubuntu fonts. This works on Ubuntu 10.04 and Mint 10 (ubuntu 10.10). With pharo 1.2.1 and 1.3, I get nothing. I'm left with DejuVu and Accuny. Does anyone know a solution for this? thanks, Jon

Setting values using reflection

I've been playing with smalltalk casually now, for months and really like it. But I"m clearly still a newb. I've reached the point in a small project where I want to set the values on my object based on the values that are in a dictionary. The dictionary is filled with a set of keys that represent attributes on the object. So for a simple example, imagine I have an object which has accessors for 'title' and 'title:'. I want to iterate across the set of keys, being certain that each key is a valid msg to send to myOBject. The send the object the message with the value from the dictionary. Now, I understand that I can do: myObject perform: 'title' asSymbol. and use that as a way to message myObject with the selector 'title' As I understand it this is equivalent to getting the value with: myObject title What I've looked for an been unable to find is how to set the value. Hi, you should look at WorldState (class side specially) and PasteUpMorph. I don't know in which exact moment it gets created but you can put a self halt in something like mostUsedToolsOn: . Well, autosaving image is not so scary thing and it is possible without troubles. And it is a must for any image-based persistency solution. Current Aida one-click has for instance an hourly snapshot enabled by default. Also I have all my images snapshoted automatically every hour, being production or development. Both VW and gradually Pharo ones too. Not to mention that image running Squeak website snapshots every hour for years too. You snapshot Squeak/Pharo image by: SmalltalkImage current saveSession In any case, we need to recheck and cleanup that snapshot procedure to be safe and viable solution for persistency, if there are really some problems yet there to popup. If visualWorks can spapshot cleanly, why Pharo cannot?
