A little newbie question

Hi all, i'm looking in pharo and smalltalk for the first time, and also i'm not a programmer but only a people who like to know, then apologies in advance. I have Pharo on Ubuntu, and i was using the PharoByExample image. Trying the example (FMSound lowMajorScaleOn: FMSound clarinet) play. All go well, but only the first time i use the image. If i close pharo and i save the changes (only a workspace with that line) the next time i start pharo i have no sound. No errors, but no more sound. Could, please, someone explain what happens? Thanks for this feature, is really useful. I've just checked latest OB where this should be integrated. I saw a "toogle breakpoint". You area talking about, aren't you? In addition, it would be nice to have such think also in the context menu in the code panel. Updated Metacello Configurations of OmniBrowser, RefactoringBrowser, OCompletion

Hi. I just wanted to let you know that I have updated those configurations to work in Pharo 1.1 with their latest versions. All tests are green ConfigurationOfOmniBrowser -> 1.2 ConfigurationOfRefactoringBrowser -> 1.6 ConfigurationOfOCompletion -> 1.2 Now the problem is that I don't know why OCompletion is not working with OB, even when all tests are green :( If someone can help please. If you want to try: (ConfigurationOfOmniBrowser project version: '1.1-baseline') load works in pharo 1.1 (provided you have ConfigurationOfOmniBrowser from Lukas's source, which should be the case). Love it already! I would look at how Array or OrderedCollection is defined. Some objects only have instance variables, and some have instance variables and indexed slots (the so-called "variable" property of classes, perhaps better described in terms of instances being "indexable" via basicAt:/basicAt:put:). So, from what I've read so far, the problem is that the class ClassBasedCharacterArray is being defined as "non-indexable", and so you can't use new:. Now, originally, I subclassed CharacterArray because then I'd inherit useful methods such as nice printString and what not. Strictly speaking, however, any sort of "array" should do for what the book is trying to show. If you want, you can also use the NC version of VisualWorks to get the code going. Finally, one of my to-dos is to convert my implementation to use Assessments for its tests. I think it would be easier to release a sort of official version in the public Store repository then.
