We use slack at work. Slack?

Hi guys, Iâm thinking whether live chat can make sense for communication. And I know that there is IRC, but for some reason itâs not working for me (maybe because of clients). I think you have to load the âSeaside" group of ConfigurationOfMagritte3, but I am not sure.. A month ago I played with Magritte and Seaside and I basically loaded a bunch of configurations until it worked. As a new user I loaded âMagritteMagicâ without knowing better. This one is broken if you load it on Pharo 4. Later I found out that MagritteMagic was just for demonstration purposes. So maybe it should get an âexampleâ or âdemoâ tag in the Project Catalog.

I thought that I did it so may be I did it on the wrong issue. Now it would be nice if you could get much nicer with people spending their time to improve Pharo. About Magritte Seaside

Hi guys How can I get Magritte seaside (and a working version not one breaking on XML I do not what)? I loaded the published stable version of Magritte into Pharo and there is no seaside version. I checked the configuration and it is so complex.... I have the impression that we need to distinguish Magritte from Magritte seaside. So I will do a separate configuration of magritte seaside. Stef

Just relax and trust me. It would help me. They were tested already. I checked that. The problem is that the monkey is restarting to check because I did not close them fast enough. but it would be good to put them on âto includeâ before integration. Hi Esteban, It's broken: "Smalltalk ui icons" now returns an instance of ThemeIconPack instead of the usual ThemeIcons/subclass. But most external packages extended ThemeIcons or subclasses with own icons as this is/was up to the change the default way to do it. It's not possible to access these extensions anymore using Smalltalk ui icons myIcon now. I understand that you needed a "break" - but it is not fun if you "break" ;) Bye T.

Hi Aliak The design of the UserManager was ****plain**** bad. It was reintroducing this ugly facade singleton pattern (monolitic and global) like the old Preferences class that we fight a lot with alain and finally replace by setting. It was a mistake that I did not have the time to review the code. (BTW we were pushing too much code in the system without a good review). Now this period is over. The solution of the new approach should be the same than settings. - first any part that should be user managed should do it locally and introduce its own hooks to do so but be self-contained: exactly like Setting. A class uses class variables and check its class variables when doing something. - It means that as a client of the part I can change some accesses. - then we decorate such user-managed hooks and provide tools. Hi, can you, please, move MetalinkIconStyler and MetalinkTextSegmentMorph to a separate package? It is dependent on Morphic so it makes obsolete classes in the minimal Pharo image. Marcus looks like a dog with two tails :) Now for real, this is a clear example of a thesis project (Marcus' Reflexibility) which years ago was a prototype and now, with all the progress made in Pharo, it can be made for real!!! The comment of the following method seems to be more an explanation of the implementation than of the expected behavior. Should we change that to something like: "Return an instance of RBBlockNode representing the receiver's AST."
