Are you sure that you really use the latest version? Because I do not see why opening a window would be platform specific and I could not reproduce this problem. So do you have a real way to reproduce the problem? can you send us the debuglog? And BTW Pharo is our and your system and we work all to make it better so no need to be pushy it does not help.
