There is just one code to draw a box, which is:

strokePaint ifNotNil: [ (athensCanvas setStrokePaint: strokePaint) width: 0.1. athensCanvas drawShape: path ] ]
Having a width of 1 makes a very large border. Do I miss something?

Well yes, you are using scaleBy:. That scaling applies to the stroke width of the path as well, Iâd imagine...
