Re: [Pharo-project] about ob for seaside 3.0.7

by Nick Ager

Hi Guillermo, I don't know if you say my message but I made a mistake in ConfigurationOfSeaside30 yesterday - I was testing by specifying a specific version number and forgot that I needed to update spec blessing: from #development to #release , so in fact yesterday despite my announcement ConfigurationOfSeaside30 was loading 3.0.6 It's now fixed in ConfigurationOfSeaside30-NickAger.372 and loading 3.0.7 That's said your fixes should work for both versions - thanks Nick On 2 April 2012 14:09, Guillermo Polito <guillermopolito(a)gmail.com> wrote: > It's fixed for latest 1.4 ;) > > Gofer it > squeaksource: 'MetacelloRepository'; > package: 'ConfigurationOfOmniBrowser'; > load. > > (ConfigurationOfOmniBrowser > project version: #stable) load: #( 'Dev' 'Dev Tests'). > > > On Mon, Apr 2, 2012 at 10:30 AM, Guillermo Polito < > guillermopolito(a)gmail.com> wrote: > >> >> On Mon, Apr 2, 2012 at 10:15 AM, Guillermo Polito < >> guillermopolito(a)gmail.com> wrote: >> >>> I'm checking it. My point is that how can I work and merge using monticello if this is only pubslihed on git. I just tend to avoid to lose time with on-going solutions. So if you really people to help use the tools they use. Stef

[Pharo-project] HMI (was: One more project proposal for GSoC)

by Dennis Schetinin

So, here is the proposal: Name: Khubbatov Rustem Difficulty Level: Intermediate Description A framework for building Human-Machine Interfaces with Pharo back-end providing model, and presentation front-end in Amber. Technical Details A concrete task that should be implemented with this project is a prototype of UI for network management system or SCADA. Server-side (Pharo) will simulate network components and their data, and provide relevant events for client (Amber). The latter will present network items, their state and associated information, and provide UI to control them. An important part of this system is a communication layer between Amber and Pharo. Benefits for the Student The student will gain experience in building client-server applications with advanced UI and providing two-way communication between client and server. Benefits for the Community An ability to create highly interactive web-based applications is a must-have feature for any modern development system. Amber is a bleeding edge in this area in Smalltalk world. A good communication layer between Amber and (for example) Pharo is a very appealing decision for building complex client-server systems.
