Personnaly, I went for `if you want to create a package, do it in the Monticello Browser` like that I'm sure the operation is understood by the user[1]. Nautilus takes a different approach, but I never introduce Pharo to students by letting them create packages in Nautilus. [1] Sort of. But then I can explain them how they will submit their code to me to mark them. Hah! Pharo 3| Nautilus question

by Noury Bouraqadi

Hi, When I add a package, I was expecting to see it appear in monticello. I guess it's a pending feature. Isn't it? Will we get it in 3.0? I'm aksing this because I found this comment: 'A NautilusMonticello is a class used to handle monticello integration into Nautilus by creating the menu entries' BTW, I have encountered a problem when dealing with protocols in Nautilus. Suppose I want to add a protocol 'animation' to a new class. When I type in 'animation', the window filters out all suggestions but keeps 'zoom animation'. If I only hit the OK button, the newly created protocol is 'zoom animation'. But, I didn't select the suggestion. So, I was expecting to have the 'animation' as protocol name. Did I miss something? I tested on a 30771 and in older versions too. Thanks Noury -- http://twitter.com/#!/NouryBouraqadi http://car.mines-douai.fr/noury

Re: [Pharo-dev] Desktop Apps with Pharo 3

by Noury Bouraqadi

Thanks Ben, Torsten and Damien for your answers. A quickly scanned the materials and I have a question. Is there someway to force the OS window have a fixed size? I guess it should be doable at least if we can capture a change in the OS Window.
