I also recall that on OSX (at least some later versions), Apple introduced a change whereby if you try and launch another vm from the same vm, it wouldnât open. You had to have a different vm on a different path for it to work correctly. I will try and resolve my original problem and see if this is still the case. Tim

it is at least relevant for me because I cannot use the shipped VMs: I have to use the ones of my Linux distribution.
