[Pharo-project] DependencyBrowser
Dear List, I tried DependencyBrowser, it is intuitive and easy to use. I think this tool deserve to have an entry in ScriptLoader Cheers, Alexandre -- _,.;:~^~:;._,.;:~^~:;._,.;:~^~:;._,.;:~^~:;._,.;: Alexandre Bergel http://www.bergel.eu ^~:;._,.;:~^~:;._,.;:~^~:;._,.;:~^~:;._,.;:~^~:;.

Generating dev images takes me a lot of time. It seems pharo developers are not interested in pharo-dev images so I will stop generating them. Bye -- Damien Cassou Peter von der Ahé: «I'm beginning to see why Gilad wished us good luck». (http://blogs.sun.com/ahe/entry/override_snafu)
You should continue to produce your dev image. I have seen a lot of people using it. Really. Cheers, Alexandre On 12 Oct 2008, at 12:52, Damien Cassou wrote:

Just a point of explanation. For pharo we want to have one image (one click) with all the dev tools listed on the web-page of damien. Then this image will be based on a core image and with tools integrated (minimal number of class extensions). One of the reasons we asked damien not to do a specific pharo dev is that a -dev image does not provide enough garanty that the packages loaded together actually works. So do you really need an image with more than http://code.google.com/p/pharo/wiki/Packages ? Stef
Those packages would be enough for me (in particular Shout and Omnibrowser). Cheers, Doru On Oct 12, 2008, at 5:32 PM, Stéphane Ducasse wrote:

I've just downloaded the latest Pharo image, downloaded the latest updates and found out that OBBrowser is not present and e-completion is not working. Am I missing something? Is there an extra step I should perform before being able to use the image for development? In the meantime, I'll continue using the dev image. The pharo-dev that you can find at http://code.google.com/p/pharo/wiki/Downloads?tm=2 are the only images which include OB, RB, eCompletion and the others. In the future, we plan to only release these dev images and call them simply Pharo. -- Damien Cassou Peter von der Ahé: «I'm beginning to see why Gilad wished us good luck». Hello Alexandre. Thanks for the feedback. By the way, you can download from SqueakSource an update which includes inheritance references [*]. OmniBrowser Reference ça m'a été d'une grande aide :) Hernán [*] A thing to be fixed is when a package include a class reference AND an inheritance reference from other package, only the former will be displayed in the dependent package list , i.e. the list do not mantain duplicates (it's confusing), but may be duplicating and adding something to the name like (I)nheritance Reference and (C)lass Reference will be clearer... 2008/10/11 Alexandre Bergel <Alexandre.Bergel@inria.fr>
