A lot is happening, so I could be off here.  In the 10496 web image, I noted that there might be problems with the regex package.  Now trying to build a new image I hit a walkback over

 '*username*' asRegex

There are quite a few unresolved bugs in the regexp engine, but this is definitely not one of them. The problem is that this is not a valid regular expression. See the wikipedia article for a general description (<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regular_expression>) or the documentation on the class side of RxParser for a specific description of the Smalltalk implementation.
