I would say that the mapping is: Monticello <-> dpkg (without the repository management) Metacello <-> apt
Note that it's Debian / Ubuntu / .. equivalent. Because: On ArchLinux / Chakra / ... Monticello <-> pkg Metacello <-> pacman On RedHat / CentOS / .... Monticello <-> rpm Metacello <-> yum and there's more :) Laurent
