I use spec repository: '/home/miguel/proyectos/azteca/mc'. for accesing a local directory in my machine. It is linux and the path is absolute. The spec for metacello in http://code.google.com/p/metacello/wiki/APIReference says: spec "directory-based repository" repository: '/opt/mc/repository'; Maybe changing the slashes: spec repository: 'c:/pharo/myapp/repo/'. or using UNC format: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Path_(computing)#Uniform_Naming_Convention will work.
