Hi, did you check that libGLU.so.1 is actually on your system ? It should be in /usr/lib/libGLU.so.1 If not, check that package mesa is installed. I downloaded and unzipped Pharo-1.1-OneClick.app with this result:

However, the module does seem to exist:
$ find . -name '*vm-display-X11*' ./Contents/Linux/so.vm-display-X11
I look forward to running Pharo and sharing it with my friends when it comes up reliably for newbies like me on Gnu/Linux - something which Squeak has not yet achieved!
