I'd like to integrate these changes. However, Eliot's interpretation of base is somehow uncompatible with current Multilingual usage:
see senders of #base doing: StrikeFont>>bonk:with: StrikeFontSet>>bonk:with:at: x base to: x size - 1 do: [:i | ...].
