You should do a fresh Bloc install, because it looks like you only updated Bloc from iceberg. Bloc depends on other projects such as Sparta or Beacon. About examples: gtExamples are not necessarily return instance of BlElement, it is a general all-purpose framework developed independently from Bloc.
There are so many complains about absence of class comments, but no one reads them. Looks like it is easier to remove experimental examples completely :)
