Norbert I can tell you that I was exactly concerned about the same point and that we are talking about it since a couple of months. Nicolas implemented projects and privacy to support people wanted to do private business (yes we want to support it). Now he got stuck because of a problem in smalltalkhub and more important a bug in the cog vm. I do not know what is the status of this one. The idea is that soon (probably next week) a new version of smalltalkhub will get out. Stef On Nov 22, 2012, at 11:41 AM, Norbert Hartl wrote:
Is there an explanation why in smalltalkhub every project resides below a user?
I just saw that Francois moved the MongoTalk from squeaksource to smalltalkhub. With the move the project moved into francois' projects. That seems like a step back at first. In squeaksource projects are global and have certain roles attached. Thus making it easier to shift responsibility. Especially when a user takes over a project and then stops working on it what would be the workflow for this? Can projects be moved? Do we need to copy? I can see that there is a tension to mimick github. But in github I just fork a project under my own account where it can reside even if the original author abandoned the project. What would be a good way to handle that common use case?
thanks,
Norbert
