Re: [Pharo-project] [ANN] Dr. Geo 12.04.1

by Francois Stephany

Hi Hilaire, It does not seem to work on My Snow Leopard box :/ I get the following when opening the OneClick: "You can't open the application DrGeo because it ma be damaged or incomplete." The icon probably means that something is wrong (attached screenshot). Another unrelated but funny issue is the Timezone confusion in the last modified/creation date :p If you know where to look, i'll be happy to give you more details... [Pharo-project] Enhancement for 1.4 - menu World > Tools > Examples

by Ben Coman

Just a passing thought... the new startup scripts for 1.4 are really cool, and some examples are included, but how are new users going to know about them? How about a menu item World > Tools > Examples > Startup Scripts. If the examples were moved to a class StartupLoaderExamples or similar, then the menu action could just be 'StartupLoaderExamples browse'. Other applications like Glamour and Mondrian might also install links to their more sophisticated example browsers at the common place. cheers -ben

[Pharo-project] Block questions

by Stéphane Ducasse

I'm taking some times to go back the block closure chapter and I was wondering how I can get access to block temporaries [ |a | a :=2. a] for example I tried [ |a | a :=2. a] outerContext contextForLocalVariables tempAt: 1 and variations but none worked. Stef
