Any ideas? Is there no simple way to just get the pre-built library from somewhere? you running into similar problems that me.. since cairo having multiple dependencies, and uses other well common libs, they were already existed on my mac, before i tried to install cairo. So i had to rebuild them with +universal flag, because they were built only for 64 bits. btw, this is another answer to your question, about why i cannot just bundle prebuilt cairo library with VM and free you from dubious tasks of building it. because it depends on like 5 or 6 another libraries. So, bundling cairo library will mean bundling it together with all those libs.. So, maintaining such huge amount is not fun, especially taking into account that there are official maintainers for those libraries already, and they know how to deal with problems if one arises (like migrating from one OS version to another or updating them). > > ------------OUTPUT-------------- > > ---> Â Computing dependencies for cairo > ---> Â Dependencies to be installed: expat fontconfig freetype bzip2 zlib libiconv gperf pkgconfig glib2 gettext ncurses libffi perl5 perl5.12 gdbm xz libpixman libpng xorg-xcb-util xorg-libxcb python27 db46 libedit openssl python_select sqlite3 xorg-libXau xorg-xproto xorg-libXdmcp xorg-libpthread-stubs xorg-xcb-proto libxml2 xrender xorg-libX11 xorg-bigreqsproto xorg-inputproto xorg-kbproto xorg-xcmiscproto xorg-xextproto xorg-xf86bigfontproto xorg-xtrans xorg-renderproto > ---> Â Activating expat @2.1.0_0+universal > Error: Target org.macports.activate returned: Image error: /opt/local/bin/xmlwf already exists and does not belong to a registered port. Re: [Pharo-project] Unresponsive 1.4 image

by Janko Mivšek

Hi guys, It seems that writing to Transcript from background process causes my freeze after restart. And yes, I have Transcript window open. This is a code snippet in question: AIDASite class>>imageSnapshot ... elapsed := Time millisecondsToRun: [SmalltalkImage current saveSession]. Transcript show: ' in ', (elapsed // 1000) printString, 's '. If I comment out the last line, snapshot doesn't block the image after restart. This is not necessary 1.4 specific problem, because I noticed similar problem in 1.3 also. Just that on 1.3 input freezes immediately while on 1.4 it freezes after restart. Let me investigate a bit further, what if Transcript window is not open? Best regards Janko Dne 20. 04. 2012 21:42, piše Stéphane Ducasse: > Ok may be nautilus bug. [Pharo-project] Can I get a "image save" notification?

My program wants to detect image save event. I couldn't find one, so changed SmalltalkImage>>logChanged: or SmalltalkImage>>addSnapshot:andQuit: to detect the image save and fire my custom notification. Is there a good for doing this like SystemChangeNotification or SystemAnnouncement?
