Thanks a lot, Sean, I was about to suggest you fixed the problem yourself but you read my mind ;-) It is like one of Marcus' quotes that I lilke so much: 'It is you Pharo'. We have to make things better, one little step at a time, for all of us together. Sven

Ah... I misunderstood: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bd6mz6F167s&feature=relmfu for some reason I thought there was a built-in way of directly using VMMaker slang instead of assembly language. My bad. you lost me.. what kind of slang you are talking about? there was a small project to translate vmmaker slang to native code, implemented by argentinian guys. but it is not related to nativeboost at all (except that it also using asmjit) , and AFAIK in a proof-of-concept state. [Pharo-project] Problem installing Native Boost

by Lawson English

I obtained the NativeBoost VM for Mac OS X from: http://code.google.com/p/nativeboost/downloads/list and followed the instructions at: http://code.google.com/p/nativeboost/wiki/Installation However, when I evaluate: NBInstaller install. I get MNU: receiver of "project" is nil I'm pretty sure I can figure out a workaround for now, but I'd rather not do an install NB tutorial and just do a how-to-use video instead. Thanks. [Pharo-project] Native Boost and Slang

by Lawson English

are there any examples of how to use Slang with native boost? Also, what is the latest stable version that I should be using for my videos? Thanks. I patched the parser to succeed for all 3 examples and updated the tests, which all pass. I uploaded the packages to the SqS repository. The parsing method is now ugly. I would break it out into a separate class (or at least some private methods), but I just made it work and left it to you to decide... I wanted to do it that way so I could output a log message if the file had been modified. In the end, I decided the complexity wasn't worth it in this case and decided to do "client request headers at: 'If-Modified-Since' put: self lastDownloadModified", which works great, but doesn't provide a hook to say "file has changed, downloading..." -- View this message in context: http://forum.world.st/Zinc-HEAD-and-then-GET-tp4623719p4623847.html Sent from the Pharo Smalltalk mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
