that was always like that... headless mode is not actually headless in any of the platforms. [Pharo-project] headless CogVM on Windows

by Pavel Krivanek

Hi, it seems that the headless mode in CogVM on Windows is not working well. It always opens a window and the only difference from the normal start is that it uses minimalization to systray. As far as I know the older windows VMs always used systray (bad) but without the initial window opening. -- Pavel

I really like the abstraction that Voyage provides. We could check if it would make sense to use it for SmalltalkHub. I really hate duplicated efforts. in fact, I already dropped old Voyage session cache for the one in SmalltalkHub, which was cooler than mine :) now is turn to Nico to check what can he use from Voyage, and if that makes sense ;) Esteban On Sep 21, 2012, at 11:05 AM, Nicolas Petton <petton.nicolas(a)gmail.com> wrote: > > Yes, in fact with Esteban we thought about merging our work or maybe I > will drop my layer and use Voyage. > > Nico > > On Thu, 20 Sep 2012 10:30:30 -0700, Francois Stephany <tulipe.moutarde(a)gmail.com> wrote: >> Ok! >> >> I've managed to load it but haven't tried to run it (yet). Yes, in fact with Esteban we thought about merging our work or maybe I will drop my layer and use Voyage. On windows, #VMModule should answer the hInstance, i.e the handle of VM process, but i am not sure if it will work that way. Re: [Pharo-project] [NB-Cog] New VMs Available

Igor, I have built my own Win32 VM in order to test NB 1.5, specifically the callback changes. First I found that NativeBoostWin32>>VMModule was not defined ... I set it to 'NBCog.exe' but NBCallbackCodeGen>>CStackPointerAddress returns nil. As far as I can tell the symbol is available in the module, nm -g returns _CStackPointer. What have I missed?
