Re: [Pharo-project] Penelope is in town! (or how to have access to the new issue tracker)

by Esteban Lorenzano

google has public access to see the bug entries, fogbugz no. So you would need an account even for check... penelope handles that (and the creation of accounts to report bugs, which would be a pain without it) that's it. Could someone explain what Penelope is and why we need it? We need it now (fogbugz) but we didn't need it before (google code)? What does it do? Doesn't fogbugz provide what penelope does? from the website I just see the items and I can filter by groups...isn't that provided by fogbugz? thanks, On Tue, Mar 19, 2013 at 2:38 PM, Nicolas Petton <petton.nicolas(a)gmail.com>wrote: > Hi! > > Ben and I finally put the Penelope monkey online! > You can access to all issues at http://bugs.pharo.org and register there > to get access to Fogbugz. > > Cheers, > Nico -- Mariano http://marianopeck.wordpress.com

[Pharo-project] how to know plugins directory ?

by jannik.laval

Hi all, Is there a way to obtain the plugins directory in a pharo image. Something like vmDirectory or imageDirectory but for plugins directory ? My case is that in MacOS the plugins are in a subdirectory inside the directory of the vm, but in windows and linux it is not the same. Cheers, Jannik

[Pharo-project] PharoSound does not have the same behavior in a one-click

by jannik.laval

Hi all, I loaded PharoSound in a Pharo 2.0 image and try the code : SimpleMIDIPort examplePlayNoteNamedVelocityOnChannel It works fine. Now, try the same with a Pharo one-click, it does not work. A primitive fail: #primMIDIOpenPort:readSemaIndex:interfaceClockRate: What is different between the two versions ? Jannik

Re: [Pharo-project] Glorp, PSQL in Pharo 2.0

by Dennis Schenk

Hi Sven, Thanks for the quick answer. I noticed that I didn't have the * NativePostgresDriver* class yet in my image. So I loaded PostgresV2 and GlorpDriverPostgreSQL from http://www.squeaksource.com/PostgresV2. Now the connection works, e.g.: *connArgs := PGConnectionArgs* * hostname: 'localhost'* * portno: 5432* * databaseName: 'db-name'* * userName: 'user'* * password: 'pwd'.* *conn := PGConnection new.* *conn connectionArgs: connArgs.* *conn startup.* *...* Thanks again for the hint. Hi Dennis, Yes, it will take a while for all add on packages to stabilize now that 2.0 is out. I think you need to do something like PharoDatabaseAccessor DefaultDriver: NativePostgresDriver.
