Yes we were not really active recently. Bernat Romagosa was the most productive guy until now. Maybe you can join the scat mailing list in order to talk about how to join our efforts: https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!forum/scat-project There is some japanese people on the mailing-list, that might be interested by your work on BYOB. I was also interested by using Scat/Phrash with arduino. Regards, -- Serge Stinckwich UCBN & UMI UMMISCO 209 (IRD/UPMC) Every DSL ends up being Smalltalk http://doesnotunderstand.org/

Interesting ! I will see that. Who is active on this project ? Should it work on Pharo2.0 ? I am interesting if we can merge efforts. On the seaside dev list I asked if there was a conf and was pointed to: http://www.squeaksource.com/Seaside31/ and told to look at the config class comment. FWIW, loading packages as told by Sven worked, Seaside runs on my 2.0 Phil 2013/3/24 Sven Van Caekenberghe <sven(a)stfx.eu>: > > On 24 Mar 2013, at 20:15, Camillo Bruni <camillobruni(a)gmail.com> wrote: > >> On 2013-03-24, at 20:01, Sven Van Caekenberghe <sven(a)stfx.eu> wrote: >> >>> On 24 Mar 2013, at 19:37, Camillo Bruni <camillobruni(a)gmail.com> wrote: >>> >>>> On 2013-03-24, at 19:33, Guillermo Polito <guillermopolito(a)gmail.com> wrote: >>>> >>>>> Hi Camillo! >>>>> >>>>> I was trying to load webdoc but there are a lot of not loading dependencies >>>>> (Seaside, grease, Omnibrowser...)... [Pharo-project] [ANN] Phratch: Scratch on Pharo2.0

by jannik.laval

Hi Pharoers, I am porting Scratch and BYOB on Pharo 2.0. The name of the project is Phratch. To begin, I took Scat (a port of Scratch on Pharo1.3) and modify it to make it work on Pharo 2.0. For that I integrated FileSystem. Then, I took BYOB and port it in the project. I have some bugs, but the main features are working. The main issue is that it is slow. I will investigate that too. The goal for me is to use it for teaching software engineering and robotics. I hope to use Phratch and Pharo 2.0 to create new features. The project is on SmalltalkHub, and a google code page is available, mainly for reporting issues: https://code.google.com/p/phratch/ To download Phratch, just run this code: Gofer it url: 'http://smalltalkhub.com/mc/JLaval/Phratch/main'; package: 'ConfigurationOfPhratch'; load. (Smalltalk at: #ConfigurationOfPhratch) loadBleedingEdge. Cheers, Jannik

Yes but we will probably have to do it because we could use Seaside as a nice regression tests for Pharo 30 apha. Stef

[Pharo-project] redefining default smalltalk shortcuts in (pluggable)textmorph

by Tudor Girba

Hi, I am trying to redefine shortcuts such as Cmd+s for an instance of PluggableTextMorph, but I cannot find a way. Now that we have Kemappings in the image, I see that Cmd+s is defined in: TextMorph>>buildTextEditorKeymapsOn: aBuilder <keymap> (aBuilder shortcut: #accept) category: #TextMorph default: $s ctrl win | $s ctrl unix | $s command mac do: [ :morph | morph acceptContents ]. aBuilder attachShortcutCategory: #TextMorph to: TextMorph. Nice, but this defines a behavior that is global to the TextMorph class. The Keymappings extensions from Morph do allow some degree of morph specific shortcuts, but it seems that the only thing I can do is: - create a category with my keymappings; the category must have a name - registered it the dispatcher - tell the morph to attach this category by passing the name of the category I could not get a code that sets this up because I stumbled across too much symbol-based indirection. Can anyone help? Cheers, Doru -- www.tudorgirba.com "In a world where everything is moving ever faster, one might have better chances to win by moving slower."
