Re: [Pharo-project] Good news !

by Clara Allende

Janko, there are two project ideas for debugger improvements... shouldn't they be one (to rule them all :P)? I'm interested to get in as a student to play with the debugger ^^ Cheers On 8 April 2013 16:56, Janko Mivšek <janko.mivsek(a)eranova.si> wrote: > Dne 08. 04. 2013 20:54, piše Damien Cassou: > > On Mon, Apr 8, 2013 at 8:49 PM, Serge Stinckwich > > <serge.stinckwich(a)gmail.com> wrote: > >> Our Organization Application for "ESUG (European Smalltalk User > >> Group)" in Google Summer of Code 2013 has been accepted ! > > > > > > that's great. Re: [Pharo-project] [FYI] Athens tutorial

by Tristan Bourgois

Very cool tutorial :) I show it at my works and they are impressed of the readability of Athens! Juste a remark about the text. I try to rotate the text and (I d'ont know if it's the good behavior). All the text rotate but the letter not. Re: [Pharo-project] [3.0] Package the be removed: Network-URI

by Frank Shearar

Then let's ignore the ugliness of the past. I'd be happy with that. "Ignore the ugliness of the past" also means "don't make vague accusations against mysterious forces". Either explain, in the cold light of day, who did what and why they must not be allowed to exert such negative influence again, or... don't say anything. frank On 8 April 2013 21:46, stephane ducasse <stephane.ducasse(a)free.fr> wrote: > Frank > > it was long time ago and there are things it is better to ignore because they were ugly. > Now for Pharo we have a vision and working hard to make it happens. > > Stef > >>> >>> There are right now three models of Urls in the system >>> -> Network-Url >>> -> Network-URI >>> -> ZnUrl >>> >>> The URI implementation was contributed by Impara to Squeak 3.9. >>> Back then the plan was to first add it and then spend do the effort >>> to replace Url *and* use it as a layer to abstract File access >> >> I'm one of the guys who didn't finish off the URI/URL work. Thank you Esteban. Holds the same also for Ring, right? I've seen that there is a page on smalltalkhub about Spec, so I think you are planning to port Spec to STHub, right? >> >> Cheers, >> Roby > >

*LoggingEvent* >> *printBasicsOn: aStream aStream nextPutAll: LoggingEvent timestampClass now asString; nextPutAll: ' '; nextPutAll: self levelString; nextPutAll: ' - '; nextPutAll: self messageString* I will like to see the timestamp printed out akin to the log4j output.. Also I had added a Logger class that will allow* multi channel logging* of the same log outputs: transcript, stream , file , socket, based on adding to a loggerCollection class instance variable.
