[Pharo-project] PipeableOSProcess under windows

by Camillo Bruni

Am I correct in the assumption that OSProcess does not properly use the Path env variable? I have MinGW installed and the Path variable is set up correctly, so I do bash --help in the CMD window, however something like `OSProcess waitForCommand: 'bash --help'` does not work. Is there a workaround for this issue?

MC uses the latter, the snapshot is the former. But it's still a Pharo bug that the snapshot makes no sense, right? For GNU Smalltalk we can simply interpret a NUL as the first byte of an UTF-32BE character, and convert it to UTF-8. It's really ugly, but with a suitable comment it can work. Paolo

Re: [Pharo-project] Strange behvaior with protocols in nautilus

It's a known bug which was (thought to be) fixed in 3.0 If someone knows a way to reproduce it, I will be glad to address this issue (my guess is that there is a #sort done on protocols where it should be #sorted) Ben On May 6, 2013, at 2:35 PM, Patrick Barroca <patrick.barroca(a)gmail.com> wrote: > Hi, > > I've done some coding in 2.0 this weekend and also seen strange behavior with protocols in Nautilus where all the methods of an object have their protocols shifted by one. > I put methods in protocols A, B and C after a while I see the methods from A in B, from B in C and from C in A. > I suspect it occurs after executing a refactoring but I've got no reproducible scenario yet. > > > On Sat, May 4, 2013 at 10:52 AM, Stéphane Ducasse <stephane.ducasse(a)inria.fr> wrote: > I loaded some morphic games and I have a strange behavior with nautilus. > when I press all I see all the methods but when I look at the protocols I only get a couple > and I do not see all the methods. > > Stef > > > > -- > Patrick Barroca

Hi, I've done some coding in 2.0 this weekend and also seen strange behavior with protocols in Nautilus where all the methods of an object have their protocols shifted by one. I put methods in protocols A, B and C after a while I see the methods from A in B, from B in C and from C in A. I suspect it occurs after executing a refactoring but I've got no reproducible scenario yet.
