Re: [Pharo-dev] [Pharo-project] Understanding NBOpenGL

by kilon

I am trying to find out what version of Opengl NBOpenGL is using so I do: gl getString:GL_VERSION. it works and returns me a pointer. I looked at definition of methods and it is defined to return a pointer. Question is how I get the string that the pointer points too ? -- View this message in context: http://forum.world.st/Understanding-NBOpenGL-tp4686514p4694552.html Sent from the Pharo Smalltalk Developers mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

I tried to reproduce it but it seems to be very specific :) - no failure under OSX 10.8 - no failure under ubuntu server 13.04 64bit I'll keep trying on our slaves... Re: [Pharo-dev] First shot on acceptance tests for the VM

by Marcus Denker

Very nice! Another thing we need to look at at some point is to make different VM build for each major version. The idea is that there is a dedicated build of the VM for "Pharo3", which would be frozen with the release, and then we start with a VM build for "Pharo4". I even want them to have the major version number is the binary, so that it is easy to install "Pharo3" in Parallel to "Pharo4". With this we free ourselves from needed the VM to be at the same time forward *and* backward compatible. And we make sure that the VM that people use for the stable release does not change.
