I also thinks it sounds good now. I love this type of discussions. Hi Stephan, Thanks for your feedbacks, finding good names is always an issue for me. Maybe something like: #scrollToEndOfText, #scrollToBeginningOfText, #scrollToEndOfLine, #scrollToBeginningOfLine. #pageUp, #pageDown, #pageLeft, #pageRight. Re: [Pharo-dev] Debugger recursion

by Clément Bera

Hello, Are you on Pharo 2 or 3 ? In Pharo 2, debugging or inspecting with ProtoObject subclasses resulted in infinite loops or image crashes. I tried to have a look with the new debugger and inspectors in Pharo 3 but there is still some work to do. 2013/8/24 jan.struz <public+pharo(a)struz.cz> > Stéphane Ducasse wrote > > On Aug 23, 2013, at 7:13 PM, jan.struz < > > > public+pharo@ > > > > wrote: > > > >> Proxy implementation > > > > did you have a look at Ghost because mariano spent nearly a year on it. > > > > I do not really know what are the messages supposed to be supported by > > ProtoObject to be debugged > > May be it is not in the contract of ProtoObject and as such it produces > > normally an infinite loop. > > > > Stef > > ok, so the rule is: never subclass ProtoObject to make Debugger crazy.. > I will definitely look at Ghost, it has already been on my todo list.. > > thanks > > > > > > ----- > Save The World! > -- > View this message in context: > http://forum.world.st/Debugger-recursion-tp4704703p4704864.html > Sent from the Pharo Smalltalk Developers mailing list archive at > Nabble.com. > >

Re: [Pharo-dev] Rubrik, scroll to end?

by Stephan Eggermont

In my experience, top and bottom are terminology from the visible domain, not from the contents. That could confuse users. In a non-wrapped text, is there going to be a scroll to top left and bottom right, or rather to the beginning of the first/last line? Or as it is now, ignoring the horizontal position? Stephan

Re: [Pharo-dev] Installing Rubrik into 3alpha

Hi Esteban, RubTextModel does not work. It was for Spec but I don't have enough time to dig more and make it work. So, I will remove this class.
