Its implementation collides just from a beginning , if you need to have multiple session(s) of same kind per connection to some service, because it uses singleton pattern. Take seaside, for example, it uses separate session per each connection. -- Best regards, Igor Stasenko.

Understand Icons in Pharo

by kilon

Hello guys I try to hack the help tool and I wanted to add some additional buttons besides "refresh". I would like to add a "previous" , "next" and "up" button. Previous for going to previous page, next for next page and "up" for moving up on the hierarchy of topics and sub topics. In short standard help browsing navigation. I would like also to bind those buttons to keyboard shortcuts (probably arrow keys) to liberate from the use of mouse. The thing is I am not familiar with creating of icons. I think I have seen back and forth buttons in book widget in squeak. I could use those but I would like also to keep open the option of designing my buttons icons. Or maybe use existing ones I can find on the internet. So are there any hints how I can do all that ? -- View this message in context: http://forum.world.st/Understand-Icons-in-Pharo-tp4708501.html Sent from the Pharo Smalltalk Developers mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

i would like session to support a cache. something like either: Smalltalk session at: x ifAbsentPut: [ y ] or Smalltalk session cacheAt: x ifAbsentPut: [ y ] On 13 September 2013 17:27, Camillo Bruni <camillobruni(a)gmail.com> wrote: > On 2013-09-13, at 12:09, Chris Cunningham <cunningham.cb(a)gmail.com> wrote: > > so, if this is a class, would Session be an appropriate superclass for a > > WebSession class? or any other type of Session class? > > I would say so. Create a Moose model a posteriori

by roberto.minelli＠usi.ch

Hi, I was at ESUG last week and I discussed about this issue with some people, and in the end Stef told me "drop a mail in the mailing list, I am interested to understand what all the other people think about it". So, here I am. I have my project in which I am modeling development sessions. Each session object has a number of meta-data (e.g., start, end time, etc.) and a collection of events. Each event object owns some meta-data and some references to classes that were "touched" by a given event (i.e., now I am using the Ring definition of the classes, since I plan to serialize and deserialize them and I cannot serialize the real class object, it would be too heavy, isn't it?). Now the question: I would like to create a Moose model of a development session to be able to import the sessions in the Moose panel and play around with the excellent Moose tool-suite. How should I proceed? Do you think it's better to annotate and add pragmas to the existing classes or to create a minimal parallel hierarchy of my model (i.e., MooseSession for MySession) and have something like MySession>>#asMooseDef which returns an object of kind MooseSession? Thanks in advance, Roberto
