[update 3.0] #30429

by Marcus Denker

30429 ----- 11701 Explore should use new inspector in Tree mode https://pharo.fogbugz.com/f/cases/11701 -> fixes "Smalltalk tools inspector" to return the class of the inspector -> call methods on "Smalltalk tools inspector", not "Smalltalk tools" -> remove concept of #basicInspector tool -> remove "Inspect Basic" from menu of new inspector -> "Explore" now opens the EyeInspector in TreeMode everywhere -> make inspect:label: work TODO: - self is not bound in the tree inspector textpane - menus are missing om tree elements (I will put an issue for those two) - tree widget seems a bit slow Diff information: http://smalltalkhub.com/mc/Pharo/Pharo30/main/Tools-MarcusDenker.1275.diff http://smalltalkhub.com/mc/Pharo/Pharo30/main/System-Tools-MarcusDenker.108… http://smalltalkhub.com/mc/Pharo/Pharo30/main/Spec-Inspector-MarcusDenker.9… http://smalltalkhub.com/mc/Pharo/Pharo30/main/Morphic-Base-MarcusDenker.123…

Yes soup is using XMLReader. Have a look on PharoExtras/Soup Stef On Sep 28, 2013, at 7:38 PM, phil(a)highoctane.be wrote: > In the Pharo 20 image, I see that we do have XMLParser, XMLPullParser, XMLWriter and XPath listed in the configuration (new install with ZeroConf). > > I am also using Soup. > > That's because I am working on some OpenData and screen scraping work and wondered what was okay to use. > > Is Soup depending on these? I migrated soup to smalltalkhub too have and normally it should loads well in 20 and 30. And all the soup subprojects have been migrated (by me) to smalltalkhub. I migrated everything to smalltalkhub. XMLParser & PharoExtras, XMLWriter, XPath: status?

by phil＠highoctane.be

In the Pharo 20 image, I see that we do have XMLParser, XMLPullParser, XMLWriter and XPath listed in the configuration (new install with ZeroConf). I am also using Soup. That's because I am working on some OpenData and screen scraping work and wondered what was okay to use. Is Soup depending on these? (I have XMLReader and Writer in my image but don't know from where at the moment - but there are no tests, so only something like #Core was loaded. Also what is different between XMLParser and XMLPullParser? TIA Phil
