Re: [Pharo-dev] OSProcess configuration problem

by Goubier Thierry

Hi Christophe, yes, it seems I'm having problem with that configuration at the moment. I've pushed new versions of ConfigurationOfCommandShell but probably incorrectly. It would require a whole new VM wouldn't it? Or did the switch to a Cog VM only happen during the 3.0 cycle? Using the VM that comes with Raspbian, you can run Pharo 1.4. Pharo 2.0 requires additional VM support. OSProcess configuration problem

by Christophe Demarey

Hi, I just discover a problem with the configuration of OSProcess. If you run: MetacelloToolBox validateConfiguration: ConfigurationOfOSProcess, you get: "Error: Cannot resolve version '4.6.7' for the project reference 'Pipeability' in version '4.5.7' { cannotResolveVersion } [ #validateVersionSpec: ]" Indeed, I get a ConfigurationOfCommandShell with only 2 versions: 1.0 and 1.1. It looks like the ConfigurationOfCommandShell was not published to the declared meta repo: http://www.squeaksource.com/MetacelloRepository. ConfigurationOfCommandShell-ThierryGoubier.12 is missing. As this repository is read only now, shouldn't the configurationOfProcess be updated to use the new MetaRepo? Regards, Christophe.

I forget to say that you should be in the "Pharo Community" of Google+ If you are not yet, just look for "Pharo Smalltalk" in G+ and then join :) Esteban On Oct 2, 2013, at 10:53 AM, Esteban Lorenzano <estebanlm(a)gmail.com> wrote: > Hi, > > Remember, today we will have our first Hangout Session. > > How does this will work? > > Well, at 12 UTC I will open a Group Hangout in Google+, and everybody can join there (the opened hangout should appear in your g+ main page). > > Then we will proceed like any other regular sprint: we pick a bug, and we work on it :) > I can foreseen two different possibilities: > > 1) you will work alone, connected to the group. Hangout Session today!

by Esteban Lorenzano

Hi, Remember, today we will have our first Hangout Session. How does this will work? Well, at 12 UTC I will open a Group Hangout in Google+, and everybody can join there (the opened hangout should appear in your g+ main page). Then we will proceed like any other regular sprint: we pick a bug, and we work on it :) I can foreseen two different possibilities: 1) you will work alone, connected to the group. In that case, you do not need to do anything else. 2) you want to pair program with someone else. In that case you need to leave the group and start your own hangout. When you finish you can comeback. well, that's all :) I will send a list of possible bugfixes now. and of course we also can talk about other stuff from Pharo, not just the bugfixing race :) See you, Esteban

(from pharo -dev) PharoVM-AcceptanceTest loads Moose-Stable. That is based on a snapshot. As the snapshot flattens the configuration, it is basically unpatchable. Stephan

Pharo for the Raspberry Pi

by Goubier Thierry

Hi all, I'm trying to know if it is possible to run a version of pharo, recent if possible, on the Raspberry Pi? I know that there is a squeak vm on Raspian (Debian for the RaspberryPi) but it doesn't load recent pharo images.
