[ANN] Creativity - a Smalltalk usability experiment on browsing code and productivity

by Sebastian Sastre

Hi Smalltalker! After a talk with Thierry I was encouraged to publish this weekendâs experiment, so there it is: https://github.com/sebastianconcept/Creativity Creativity is the prototype of a Smalltalk browser biased on: productivity and the development experience and the creative flow of the software developer Iâm releasing it in the open so the idea can spread its own wings I wish I could dedicate more to this because it provides the feeling and the UX of the tool we would use to code every day regardless of the Smalltalk dialect of your choice. For the tests Iâve done, the designâs results are promising, needs more work thou It would be great to have your feedback/input sebastian o/

UX problem in debugger

by Jan Vrany

Hi, Just a comment on user interface: I found a bug (#13035) and wanted to attach fueled stacktrace to report. So I selected "Fuel out Stack". Oops, nothing happened. My first reaction was "aha, another bug". What one would expect is a file dialog asking where do I want to save the file. Or at least info where the file has be saved would be much much better :-) Same for file out in browser... Best, Jan

Re: [Pharo-dev] Compile Pharo VM on 64-bit CentOS

by phil＠highoctane.be

Ok, I got it running now. https://github.com/philippeback/pharo-vm/raw/master/screenshots/PharoOnCent… There were a large number of libraries to add beyond what Mariano mentioned. I'll make a list and post later this week. That good to have it running there as it means that it also runs on RHEL. Any rpm and yum gurus around to help?
