Re: [Pharo-dev] ****REALLY IMPORTANT**** the Pharo market place NEEDS YOU

Hmm, we're getting a bit off topic, I fear. There are lots of very useful packages available for Pharo (and tons more historic ones). They become easier to use/find if: - they are in a public monticello repository - they have documentation (internal and external) - they have a metacello configuration - they have their metacello configuration where the configuration browser can find them - they have a CI job - they have metacello catalog methods (very new) What Stef wants it to make it even easier for people to learn about what is available using a nice, sexy catalog you browse. Call it marketing, sales, a store, a marketplace, the name does not matter a lot (but I agree, if no actual sales for money are involved, and it would not, the name should not be confusing). So, let's make the catalog real ! On 12 Mar 2014, at 14:41, Sebastian Sastre <sebastian(a)flowingconcept.com> wrote: > > On Mar 12, 2014, at 10:27 AM, Esteban A. Chris Cunnington's keeping squeak-dev informed as he works through doing what he needs to do, but yes, squeaksource.com is currently unavailable. (I should add that David Lewis has worked really hard on updating squeaksource.com: its historical instabilities should be a thing of the past. The current outage is not squeaksource's fault :) ) frank > Uko

Hum, not sure. Versionner can create a version and push it on one of the repository. I want to create a version on my repo then copy this version on metaRepos. Squeaksource references

by Diego Lont

Hi all, I am trying to get my Pier configuration working, and now I have trouble loading some stuff, because Squeaksource is down. The following things did I find: ConfigurationOfZincHTTPComponents refers to the configuration of XML on squeaksource. ConfigurationOfXMLSupport has some packages, that it still loads from squeaksource: package: 'Collections-OrderPreservingDictionary' with: [ spec repository: 'http://www.squeaksource.com/OrderPreservingDict' ]; package: 'Collections-BitmapCharacterSet' with: [ spec repository: 'http://www.squeaksource.com/BitmapCharacterSet' ]; package: 'Pastell' with: [ spec requires: #('XML-Parser'); repository: 'http://www.squeaksource.com/Pastell' ] ]. and in Gemstone there are even more references (to an old grease from squeasource. Can someone fix these configurations? I do not have the rights to write in these repositories. Thx! Diego

Or should we create a script that you will integrate ? I am not sure about the process.
