Guys, If you want to discuss these aspects, please make sure you use the very latest image. Right now, exploring an OrderedCollection looks like this: Various aspects were simplified recently. And pretty soon, it will also open on the first level. R: [ANN] Pharo and ST books page (as another Seaside demo on PharoCloud)

by Lorenzo Schiavina

Great job! Lorenzo -----Messaggio originale----- Da: Pharo-dev [mailto:pharo-dev-bounces@lists.pharo.org] Per conto di Torsten Bergmann Inviato: mercoledì 19 marzo 2014 13:53 A: Pharo Development List; pharo-users(a)lists.pharo.org; seaside(a)lists.squeakfoundation.org Cc: "Stéphane Ducasse"; mike(a)pharocloud.com Oggetto: [Pharo-dev] [ANN] Pharo and ST books page (as another Seaside demo on PharoCloud) There are some free Smalltalk books collected by Stef in the past. http://stephane.ducasse.free.fr/FreeBooks.html Yet this page is often unknown to people. I therefore converted them to a more Seaside like demo using the Bootstrap project at: http://pharo.pharocloud.com/pharobooks as part of the Pharo/Seaside/Bootstrap demos at http://pharo.pharocloud.com Code for this is on http://smalltalkhub.com/#!/~TorstenBergmann/PharoCloud. I would suggest that we create a shortlink "books.pharo.org" for http://pharo.pharocloud.com/pharobooks to it - any takers? This way we can tell people: "Ahh you want to get Pharo, just use get.pharo.org" "Ahh you want to download Pharo, just use files.pharo.org" "Ahh you want to enhance Pharo, just use bugs.pharo.org" "Ahh you want to control Pharo, just use ci.pharo.org" and now "Ahh you want to learn Pharo, just use books.pharo.org" to be continued ... Kudos to Stef for the collection and to Mike for being able to host a demo on pharocloud. Have fun T.

But there is something weird in there still. the card1,2,3,4 things are not on the class side in any way and still do show there. Weird. Maybe these were the temporaries. In any case, it is weird. Ah, looks like I was looking at something returning the class and not a proper object, so, of course, there are lots of things. +1 Fancy that adds unpracticality is a no no no if you care about productivity And sorry but in this case, having the class there isnât even fancy (is consistent but in a nonsensical way) We already gave this feedback On Mar 19, 2014, at 1:20 PM, phil(a)highoctane.be wrote: > Is there a way to get the EyeTreeInspector in Pharo3 to only display instance variables and globals and not the whole set of things that are of no interest when developing business style applications? > > Or put the instance vars first. > > I'll dig in there for my own use but for newcomers, that's a real PITA I guess. > Maybe a filter icon or something would come helpful (or a SimpleEyeTreeInspector option in the drop down) > > Phil > > > <EYE19-03-14 17-17-58.png>

EyeTreeInspector -> Simple Mode?

by phil＠highoctane.be

Is there a way to get the EyeTreeInspector in Pharo3 to only display instance variables and globals and not the whole set of things that are of no interest when developing business style applications? Or put the instance vars first. I'll dig in there for my own use but for newcomers, that's a real PITA I guess. Maybe a filter icon or something would come helpful (or a SimpleEyeTreeInspector option in the drop down) Phil
