Am I blind or am I having a hard time spotting our stuff on GitHub from Pharo.org as well as some other properties that help us be visible? Meaning: https://github.com/orgs/pharo-project/ https://github.com/SquareBracketAssociates are very important places and aren't mentioned much. As are: https://github.com/tide-framework if someone wants to use Marina so use the Pharo power... Maybe can we add these and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pharo as well (as we bothered updating the page...) Also, in http://pharo.org/get-involved we sent people directly to the Fogbugz thing. We should mention this Penelope monkey as well: http://bugs.pharo.org/ Also, in documentation, people are doing webapps, so we need to add "Dynamic Web Development with Seaside" to http://pharo.org/documentation http://book.seaside.st/book And, we also must also add this gorgeous http://spec.st/ and Sebastian's Mapless supernice site as well. I do not have access to the CMS, so please some kind soul, do it :-) [or tell me how] Phil

What indicators are there that youâll be able to pull it off (obvious passion for the project, existing work on the project, previous work on similar projects)? Parameters of the program The program will run from September 1st until December 1st, 2014. (Those exact dates are flexible if need be.) The grant will be $7,500 per month. Weâll also provide meals at our office during the week. To apply Please send an email to open-source-retreat(a)stripe.com. Please include a writeup explaining why we should select you. Weâd be particularly interested to hear: Some context around the project. What does it do? Who uses it? Why is it interesting? Your history with this project. Why is it important to you personally? What contributions have you made to it? What makes you well-suited to working on it? A link to the project. (It must already exist, though it might be early-stage.) Why this grant will make a difference for you. Why are you interested in participating? Your plan for those 3 months. What will you actually spend your time on? Be detailed if useful, but we mostly want to have a sense of what will actually get done as opposed to a day-by-day projection. Applications will be accepted until the end of May 31st (UTC-11). Weâll select a batch of finalists and do a round of Skype interviews before choosing the grantees. Weâre targeting two participants to start, though we may end up with more or fewer depending on applications. Weâll select projects based on their importance broadly rather than importance to Stripe in particular. While decisions will be based on impact and merit, weâd be especially psyched to fund people from backgrounds often underrepresented in the open-source community. We also will accept applicants from outside the United States (and do what we can to help out with visas). Weâre excited to see how this program develops. If youâve any questions or suggestions about how we could make it better, feel free to drop us an email.

Ok Nicolas I followed its advice and it looks like you are correct.Wget get error on make but make install seemed to worked. yeap I have seen that in one video tutorial for Squeak, its great to see the good parts of Squeak are still inside Pharo. Thanks for reminding me. I wonder if someone could take this and create interface to allow user to create custom GUIs for Pharo using these existing menu choices. Certainly need to keep that in mind.
