In old inspector, right click on an object you get three options: * Browse Full * Browse Class * Browse Hierarchy which takes you to various different code viewers. Together I think this shows its fairly well established that 'Browse' on its own means "view the object's code". Its established that menu options effectively map to messages sent to the object. So then would you need to change the four menu items above to: * Browse Class * Browse Class Full * Browse Class Class * Browse Class Hierarchy. Then I think you'd need to follow through changing all senders of #fullOnClass: from #browse... to #browseClass... Also, is there any foreseeable situation where a "Browse" menu would provide a function that is not code viewing, that Explore and Inspect would not cover? So in this case, because of the paradigm of mapping from menu items to message sends, unless the menu options change to suit, I think the behaviour expected from #browse is reasonably well defined and the implementation is fine. cheers -ben

pane for repositories in the Configuration Browser

Hi, I added a new slice in the inbox for this: https://pharo.fogbugz.com/default.asp?14392 it adds a pane for repositories in the Configuration Browser (cf. screenshot in the bugtracker) be careful, I made it the default Configuration Browser so you may want to deactivate it by default or not integrate it at all ;-) Cheers, #Luc

SandstoneDB questions

I'm starting to use SandstoneDB for a project (seems pretty cool) and I had two questions: (1) I noticed that the commit: instance method discussed in the documentation does not exist. Has it been deprecated? There is a commit: class method but it seems like instance functionality. (2) It seems like Sandstone does keep versions. Is there a way I can retrieve old versions? Stef, As I said to Igor, the main problem about NativeBoost was between the chair and the keyboard... :) It is my first use of NativeBoost, I simply overlooked the very good existing chapter of EnterprisePharo on NativeBoost (NativeBoost recipes, the X11 journey) and misused the NativeBoost marshalling of data types. NAtiveBoost is great. If I achieve my experiments with zeromq and ends up with something clean (not the case actually, and not my first goal), I will be glad to add a chapter about that. My current problem is about a different socket behaviour between windows and linux. I think this is not a problem with ZeroMQ, the C program works as expected, I have to look for an explanation. Those experiments are on smalltalkhub under DragonMQ with public access, a there_be_dragon_here debuglog filler for now (will probably be renamed), at the stage of a raw binding and basic experiments to become used to zeromq, but at some point if it works well, it should ends up in a wrapper plus some object oriented api on top of it.
