[Pharo-project] about MC browser changes

lukas I merged your changes to get the items sorted (really cool). Now I'm convinced that there was an initialization problems since even if I closed and reopened all the MC browsers I go array indices problems. Could you check 10106 and resubmit a fix if necessary? Stef

That's a problem indeed. Seaside and many other (mostly commercial) projects use named branches excessively. The $. is used to separate the branch from the author initials. Unfortunately this support is broken in Pharo and the fix solves the issue we have with the Pharo Monticello. I think it is crucial to any version control system to properly support named branching. I think pharo purged the squeakmap cache from the image. Are white spaces accepted? What about characters not in the ASCII range? So, for example, if you had a version called: my-package-jf.testbranch.4 the next suggested version name would be: my-package-jf.testbranch.5 You could also have my-package-jf.testbranch.subbranch.4. The version of MC in Pharao no longer allows this and suggests my-package-jf.5 instead. This version fixes the behaviour to keep everything up to the author initials and everything between the initials and the last period. [Pharo-project] Installer in Pharo

Hi all, I would like to understand the behavior of Installer, and for this I use http://installer.pbwiki.com/Installer. But when I execute the first exemple : squeakmap := Installer squeakmap. squeakmap install: 'DynamicBindings'. squeakmap open. "opens the squeak map loader gui" I have an error due to a nil value. Installer has no value for 'DynamicBindings'. I think it not find the package. So, I execute Installer squeakmap open. a window is opened but there is nothing in it. For information, it works on Squeak3.10.2. Is there anything to do in Pharo to make it work ? Jannik

Hi guys We are really sorry about that but we will not accept code submitted with initials anymore because we do not know who is submitting. Just use your full name instead of initials. we will fix the Author class to ask for your full name! Stef and Marcus

Aye, no problem. Splitters/grips was something in (now) Polymorph that was a bugger to fix... especially wrt window title area font sizes.
