[Pharo-project] About the merging tool and "affordance"

Hi all With Stef today, we kept scratching our head about how the new merging tool works. Sure it looks cool, but it is not 100% intuitive. A few suggestions: - above the compare panels, show which version is displayed (or which one is the current, which one is the incoming) - the direction of the arrow left/right, depending on whether we keep the current or the incoming, seems wrong. Inverse it? -- Simon

One very easy starting point would be to take SakeTasks and write an extension that analyses dependencies to see what could be done in parallel, and organise delegation of tasks to other processes. cheers Keith

Hi folks, Has anyone looked at the Qwac Hydra stuff? http://www.qwaq.com/HydraVM/ http://lists.squeakfoundation.org/pipermail/squeak-dev/2008-February/125719… There was quite a lot of discussion on squeak-dev ast February, but not much since then. I would really love to see a multi-core Pharo. If someone has an idea how this could be done, I would be interested to learn more. I think getting Pharo to exploit multi-cores could be a big selling point in the future ... - on

I think it would be nice to add support for default system locale (as preference 'useLocale' in 'general' category allows to do). My Vista gives me locale with isoLanguage 'ru' and isoCountry 'RU' followed by some unknown symbol... It's not related to being a user or a owner of a gforge ml. Such mails are sent to people with a gforge account, which is different.
