ok...I have updated http://code.google.com/p/pharo/issues/detail?id=830 This bug happens in pharo1.0-10451-BETAdev09.09.3 but it doesn't happen in PharoCore-1.0-10451-BETA or PharoCore-1.0-10456-BETA-closurefixes. weird.... But afaik there is no such implementation yet. ShivaVG is using OpenGL, which makes it well portable on all major platforms. Alas, its not fully covers the 1.0 spec, and its not very fast :( P.S. Actually I had loaded my fractions work into a new Pharo image from an MC http repository (a) I was using Character lf hard coded in a string as '[]' , but something in the Pharo MC load logic converted the '[]' to Character cr That of course trashed things when I"m doing self should: [self enteredData = '1+2=[]3']. where the [] is Characer lf in MC, but becomes Character cr magically... (b) Lastly I have for example two character sequence in a string of decimal value 195 and 183 which is a translation of character value 247 (Ã·) to a two byte UTF-8 value mmm like 'Ã·' asNSStringUTF8FromAscii where the UTF8FromAscii translates from the iso8859-1 code page to a UTF8 value. http://www.utf8-chartable.de/ http://www.ramsch.org/martin/uni/fmi-hp/iso8859-1.html Not sure which trigged the fault, if in fact the two above points are the problem. It is not perfect i.e. the code which checks superclassName == #nil stinks, but it works. I hope someone will appear with better solution and also answer the question, why or what recent changes to MC made that it become impossible to load such classes.
