For people who wonder what Hyper is. Philippe made a port of Hyper from Gemstone. Here is what you can read from the Gemstone squeaksource: Hyper is a web server written in Smalltalk. It runs on VisualWorks, VisualAge, GemStone and Squeak. Sport is the platform-specific layer. Hyper is licensed as LGPL. [Pharo-project] installing hyper in pharo

I'm missing something but I'm not sure what... via Monticello I installed the following hyper related packages from squeaksource: Hyper1.333-pmm.14 OpenSkills1.333-pmm.8 Sport-2.031 and when i try to do a simple test like: HyHTTPClient getUsingURIString: 'www.example.com' I end up with SpSocket not understanding the message: recvWithoutBlockingInto:startingAt:for: Am I not installing the correct version of Sport?

[Pharo-project] Understanding Morphic programming

Hello list: I've read *"Squeak by Example"* and looked at some Morphic tutorials and example Morphs. I still don't understand how to organize my code with Morphic, =( 1) How should I separate the model from the graphical representation? Object subclass: #Person instanceVariableNames: 'name address email' Morph sublcass: #PersonMorph instanceVariableNames: 'person' The morph can then show and update the model when changed. 2) What happens if the model is changed by another class. How does the morph gets notified? What is the preferred approach? Thanks in advance!

Yes, he will, AFAIK he will get a macbook :) ... but SqueakDBX (and now GlorpDBX) are being tested on OSX... by me ;) , at least for some platforms, because it is dificult to test it for oracle -and of course mssql, but postgresql and mysql are working fine.
