IMHO Bounty Hunting is better model. It saves spirit of non commercial development, but allows some stimulations and complex features (which is not a part of roadmap) development. The latest version of the vm doesn't work on CentOS 4 because it requires glibc 2.4. Is there an older version of the vm that will work? If so could you point me to it? My VPS is on CentOS 4 which doesn't have glibc 2.4 so I get this error: ./squeakvm: /lib/tls/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.4' not found (required by ./squeakvm) The VPS support guys tell me not to upgrade glibc because it will corrupt the container. I think this means that I either need to switch to a CentOS 5 container or find an older vm that doesnt' require glibc 2.4. Thanks for any help! 1. The CharacterScanner skips parts with white-spaces. I couldn't figure out how to get a continuously filled area. 2. The order of the text annotations in the text is more or less random, so you if you have overlapping styles things get unpredictable. 3. The cursor is drawn first, then the text with the annotations. So if you have a background color it disappears behind the rectangle. Nothing insolvable, but very hard to fix without changing the complete system. [Pharo-project] Thanks

I was dead tired over the week-end so I slept :) Now I was watching the mailing-list and the bugtracker and I upgraded to the latest 1,1 and this is really cool. This is cool to see all these small improvements one by one making the overall system better. I really like the energy that we are all creating. This is cool. This is why in the past I was a squeak harvesters (even before the cool bugarchive viewer), because I really hoped that we could build a nice and cool system. And now this is happening with pharo and I like that. Once we will have fixed and improved we will be able to focus on some larger chunks :) Stef
