Problems trying to install pharo in centos 5.11

Hi all Today I was trying to install pharo, in a Centos release 5.11 (Final), but without success. the error message is with curl curl https://get.pharo.org/64 | bash curl: (51) SSL: certificate subject name 'cluster023.hosting.ovh.net' does not match target host name 'get.pharo.org' with wget, wget -O- https://get.pharo.org/64 | bash --2019-05-07 12:49:11 - https://get.pharo.org/64 Resolving get.pharo.org ... 164.132.235.17, 2001: 41d0: 301 :: 23 Connecting to get.pharo.org | 164.132.235.17 |: 443 ... connected. ERROR: certificate common name `cluster023.hosting.ovh.net 'does not match requested host name` get.pharo.org'. To connect to get.pharo.org insecurely, use `--no-check-certificate '. The SSL connection could not be established. I wonder if this is a known error, or is it a problem with my internet provider. One last question, for 5.xx centos there are prerequisites for installation ?. Any link or reference to install it? best regards Juan M. Diaz Cortez

IceCredentialsProvider sshCredentials ?

I am trying to deploy on a server by building a Pharo image there. I want to use a readonly 'deploy user', using a specific certificate. I have been trying lots of things, but I cannot get where I want. So the user account is arbitrary, it just contains a key pair. If I add the key pair to the ssh-agent, I can clone my repository on the command line. Now I want to script this from Pharo. The script starts as follows: | remote location | remote := IceGitRemote url: 'ssh://git@bitbucket.myhost.be:1234/tthree/t3-pharo.git'. location := FileLocator localDirectory / 'iceberg' / remote projectName. IceRepositoryCreator new remote: remote; location: location; createRepository. On my development machine (macOS), this works fine. But this does not work on the Linux server, it says IceAuthenticationError: There was an authentication error while trying to execute the operation: . This happens usually because you didn't provide a valid set of credentials. You may fix this problem in different ways: 1. adding your keys to ssh-agent, executing ssh-add ~/.ssh/id_rsa in your command line. 2. adding your keys in settings (open settings browser search for "Use custom SSH keys" and add your public and private keys). 3. using HTTPS instead SSH (Just use an url in the form HTTPS://etc.git) It does not matter if the ssh-agent has the certificate listed (ssh-add). Adding IceCredentialsProvider useCustomSsh: true. IceCredentialsProvider sshCredentials publicKey: '/home/t3/.ssh/id_deploy_pharo_ed25519.pub'; privateKey: '/home/t3/.ssh/id_deploy_pharo_ed25519' Does not make a difference. Is this supposed to work ? Maybe there is some other problem ? Sven

Dependencies between git projects ?

Hi, Thanks for the mail. Iâd like to add a few remarks from the perspective of the team that currently develops Bloc/Brick. We are quite happy to see that Bloc/Brick starts to be considered a target platform. Bloc was started by Alain Plantec and StÃ©phane Ducasse. Glenn Cavarle was an important contributor at some point, too. At feenk, we got involved about 3+ years ago and since then we invested significantly in it and we are planning to continue to do so. In this process, the code was rewritten several times. We are developing Bloc/Brick in the context of Glamorous Toolkit (GT). The latest code (including reproducible releases) is here: https://github.com/feenkcom/Bloc https://github.com/feenkcom/Brick While we could say that GT is only one user, the requirements that come from GT are broader than that of a typical application. For example, this led us to build an editor with rather unique abilities. Also, Bloc has the property of being able to accommodate both visualizations and typical widgets within the same scene and this allows us to compose new kinds of interfaces. GT is still in alpha and things will still evolve in the coming months, and Bloc/Brick will change as well. However, we can consider Bloc quite stable and we find that we can operate significant changes without affecting users. For example, recently, we added a complete new support for native windows (we replaced SDL2 with Glutin) and made it work on all platforms without impact the users: https://twitter.com/feenkcom/status/1124544911716515840 Brick already has a list of widgets that are usable. If you want to see it in practice, just open a Glamorous Toolkit image. Brick will go through more changes in the following period mostly due to the introduction on theming support and user-specific preferences. Nevertheless, we would be happy to see the code exercised from a different perspective than the one we have. So, if people want to play with it, we would be happy to support and provide feedback. Visit Tokyo from 27 June to 5 of July

Dear Pharoers/Smalltalkers from Japan (and other countries) I will visit (mainly) Tokyo from 27 of June to 5th of July 2019. I will give several talks and one is scheduled to the Smalltalk User group (Oda Tomohiro is organising it). I will give some talks to researchers and companies. Iâm really excited to meet people.
