[ANN] file dialog replacement experiment

Hi, last week I stitched together a simple file dialog replacement and today I managed to somewhat finish it. There is still a lot to be desired, but right now it supports things that were the most pain for me: * list of most common places (home, root, image directory, temp) * custom bookmarks by dragging folders from file-pane to bookmark-pane * toggle hidden files (right-click on file listing) * preset file name * filtering files by extensions or patterns and toggling between filters * synchronous and asynchronous mode â You can use it independently of Pharo's native dialogs FDOpenFileDialog new extensionFilters: {'STON files' -> #(ston). 'All files' -> #()}; defaultFolder: FileLocator imageDirectory asFileReference; openModal Or if you feel brave, I have an extended UIManager that will use thisâ¦, and then you can use regular manager commands UIManager default chooseFileMatching: #('*.ston') but you can always go back FDMorphicUIManager new beDefault. "use new dialogs" MorphicUIManager new beDefault. "use old dialogs" and of course the installation itself (I'll add it to catalog soon after I find a way to autogenerate configurations from git tags) Metacello new baseline: 'FileDialog'; repository: 'github://peteruhnak/file-dialog/repository'; load. I meant: Cmd+p ==> the print-it popup Cmd+v ==> add the print-it text in the original text editor So, the second step is a pseudo-mode with a visual feedback, not like in Emacs. So, Cmd+v would leave the clipboard untouched, and âKJHJKKJâ would still remain there. Sorry, I don't get what you mean with this: "Why do we merge compositing modes with "paint options"?" I just renamed paintMode -> paintOptions and moved setAA: (paint antialias) from canvas to paintOptions. Changing antialias mode of drawing operation is as common as changing composition operator. Because there are two different antialiases (paint and font) it makes sense to have a concrete distinction between them, therefore moved paint antialias from canvas to paintOptions. Does it now make sense for you? If not, it can be reverted, anyway I don't need it anymore. I know that I rely a lot on the fact that the groups are constant to be able to use them. If they were changing based on the processor, then I would find that very messy: imagine a classification where the group GUI contains different packages depending on whether you're searching for a sender, a pragma or an implementor?
