I think it is by design, you can just wrap the binary stream with a ZnCharacterOutputStream. I'd suspect from MemoryFileSystemFile . Some time ago I worked with the memory FileSystem and it was a bit buggy. stream not working with MemoryFileSystemFile

Hello, I tried to create an in-memory file as following: (MemoryFileSystemFile named: 'Foo') writeStreamDo: [ :stream | stream nextPutAll: 'bar' ] Then I get an improper store into ByteArray. It looks like Character cannot be store in a byte array. I do not know if the bug is on the memory file system part or other. Any idea? Christophe

missing cairo library in CI

Hi all, not sure if this is best directed at pharo or CI mailing list... I've created a new job in pharo-contribution and my Pharo project uses Cairo library... however when CI ran the tests it failed on "Cannot locate cairo library. Please check if it installed on your system" ( https://ci.inria.fr/pharo-contribution/job/DynaCASE/2/PHARO=40,VERSION=deve… ) is it something I need to enable or disable somewhere? I'm pretty sure Athens also uses Cairo ( https://ci.inria.fr/pharo-contribution/job/Athens/) and it works just fine. Any pointers appreciated, Peter

Hello Everyone, I started making a Quake style level editor using Woden.
