Fixed a few symbols beginning with whitespace in the moose build. Copy image from Macbook to Ubuntu system

Ciao, i have a Pharo-1.4-one-click application run on MacBook. Now for security problem i need to port and run it on Ubuntu system 14.04.3 I can copy from MacBook and paste on Ubuntu ? On the Ubuntu system i load the pharo-launcher but it don't manage old pharo 1.4 version. Any considerations? Of course the best is to port my code into a new Pharo 4.0 image, but this is another step. Thanks, Dario

But then I need to position the text manually, even though it is supposed to be one sentence.. (For example: âComment added by _User_ around _2 seconds_ agoâ) So right now I think the label only works with one style..

I think it is better to avoid setting absolute style info for labels, e.g. font size and color. This because system settings allow you to set, e.g. font size systemwide, and it would be ugly if suddenly some labels donât obey. Spec LabelModel's #font: and other styles

Does it make sense to be able to specify font and similar at Spec-level? And not just font, also the size, color, or emphasis (which currently only emphasis is supported). >From one perspective it's handy, because I can change it at a whim, however I wonder whether this shouldn't be responsibility of some styler instead. Text as far as I know is capable of storing styled information. This would enable to outsource the style information to someone else (e.g. your stylesheet). However from practical perspective for the end user it would be extra work as it would add an indirection step. For TextModel that would be clearly better (because you might want to style different parts of text differently), however for LabelModel I'm not so sure. Any opinions? Thanks, Peter

But in general the approach of searching all byte code will be slow. Querying the accessors of a variable

Hi, Is there a simple way to query a variable to check how many methods that access it? (just want to know the size) This works, but it is quite slow. [Reflectivity] progress

Hi, more progress: 1) two options related to inlining: #optionInlineMetaObject and #optionInlineCondition By default, we inline the condition and the meta object (and thus the links is not even referenced from the compiled code). But sometimes it is nice to add that indirection: you can turn off the links without triggering a recompile, when enabling #optionInlineCondition, for example. 2) #after links are now working on both Slot, Globals and ClassVariable entities 3) #entity reifiication: âgive me the entity that the link is installed onâ (same as #node when installing on the AST and #variable when installing on variables) all this is in 50 350, this is in the queue to be integrated: 4) all reifications now implemented for Slots: (ReflectivityExamples slotNamed: #ivar) availableReifications -> #(#object #link #context #value #name #variable #class #entity) Backlog: => Link on temporary variables. => #instead of variables => â¦ all at https://trello.com/b/m5cxaAxB/reflectivity Marcus

1. the original code from Otto put each method in a file 2. I liked the idea of using git to manage method versions - and it is a really cool feature as git is able to maintain the history of a method (file) as the method is moved from class to class 3. Using directory structure actually enhanced the ability to create a cross-platform scheme, since directory structure parsing is easier than coming to an agreement on a common "fileout" format With that said, assuming that a common fileout format can be agreed upon ... there's no reason that a file per package or file per class format could be invented ... If you or anyone else has the time to create such a beast then I say go for it ... Given that we have a functional disk representation in hand, I don't think that searching for a new format (that will have it's own flaws) is a top priority ... regardless of what the disk format looks like there is a real void when it comes to the tool set ....
