They both can decompile 99% of Pharo methods. I enhanced one of them to decompile simple sista methods. However, the optimizer may generate code that cannot be expressed at source level, so some method cannot be decompiled. I am not sure the right place for decompiled sista method is in nautilus. In nautilus the user now sees the source code of the non optimized method, and if he edits it and compiles it, the optimized method is removed from method dictionary. Another annoying thing is that when you copy a hierarchy you have to change the subclass relationships manually. For example, if you select two classes -- Superclass Subclass -- and copy them you end up with NewSubclass as a subclass of Superclass instead of NewSuperclass. When copying a big hierarchy it's tiresome. Iâve taken a quick look at the implementation. Itâs not strategy based but it would be easy enough for a user to add extensions (e.g. #fiscalYear) that have the same effect. Apart from that, I think it would make more sense to inlclude the work that is being done for Squeak (including GenericMonth etc.) instead of using a similar but incompatible solution, which only addresses the problem of year duration anyway. Thereâs also the issue with the change of the âsecondsâ variable to use floats instead on integers. Since issue 13229 isnât my issue anyway and Carlo doesnât seem to be active anymore I vote for closing the issue and for possibly adopting the Squeak implementation in the future. I will cose the issue now, if somebody objects, feel free to reopen it. Copy class needs more information to do a good job At the moment, the copy class command only asks for the name of the new class. That is not enough information. There have been a number of issues posted about copying (or not) of the class comment, Issue 13247, 10039, 12294 and 12265. Other information that can be helpful is the package where the new class should be. I nearly never need a copy in the package where the original was.
