Hi, Voyage did not implement GridFS out of the box. But It can be extended to use it, it does not looks as a real complicated API. MongoGB GridFS driver for Pharo

Hi guys, I need to store objects (i.e., mongo documents) which exceeds the BSON-document size of 16MB. I run into the âofficialâ mongoDB solution, which is to use GridFS. Does anyone know if there is any possibility to use GridFS within Pharo? For example with Voyageâ¦ or any other suggestion is highly appreciated! Cheers, Roberto

So you have basically two solutions. If your variable is an instance variable, you can declare that your class is weak and initialize it with a size of 1, the fixed fields will remain strong, only the indexed field will be weak. You can have a look at WeakKeyAssociation and WeakValueAssociation for examples. Otherwise, you can wrap your variable into a weak array of size 1. Later slots will be able to do the job transparently. > Uko

If you think of it, it is almost the same as a WeakValueHolder. Sven

His question comes down to: if I change it this way, it will break for Squeak, what should I do ? In this case, a common code base would be preferred I guess, but we'll need platform specific stuff that was not needed up to now. Svenk
