I was not ready for a new machine, nor wanting to take the risk of an upgrade, so I found a solution to run on OSX 10.5.8. I was able to modify the code to compile on 10.5.8. IIRC, the only reason it was not compiling was because of usage of newer OpenGL API calls that are in 10.6 and up. Since it's only development being done on the machine (while deployment is on Linux), the solution works for me, for the moment. I agree, the core team should not be concerned with supporting old OS versions, which even Apple doesn't support. Maybe the doc/REAMDE/website needs to make it clear that MacOSX 10.6 and up is required, because of the newer OpenGL API (amongst other reasons). -- Yanni

[Pharo-project] Building on Debian 6 amd64: not a walk in the park but works!

I've been trying to build pharo on debian 6 amd64 I've installed: libc6dev-i386 ia32-libs Then downloaded coglinux from Eliot's site. Launching squeak on the generator.image works and sources have been generated with: PharoVMBuilder build. Things went smooth for that step. Then I went to build/ and did a: cmake .
