Since you said Squeak too I'll just mention:Â If you would first create a class to encapsulate the functionality you want:Â say, "FranksDualQuery" that would have an instvar 'input' (with getter/setter accessors), along with two additional methods for your db-query and shell-script (which each consume the 'input'), then you could use Maui to create your form in about 30 seconds. Maui can be installed straight from the SqueakMap catalog.Â Then execute: Â FranksDualQuery new maui and a blank form panel appears.Â Just drag the #input getter from the code-browser into this blank form panel.Â Then select "tools | be a getter/setter" so its "text-area" will be editable.Â Then drag the other two messages to the panel to complete the form.Â Done. I love naked-objects because it integrates "development" and "consumption" in a way that has helped me understand and appreciate Smalltalk as a live computing environment and not just an app-studio. [Pharo-project] [Issue Tracker] Status and 2.0 Beta

Hi, I did a pass over the bug tracker -> I started to check all issues tagged 2.0 and removed the tag for those that are clearly no show stoppers (this needs to be continued, we are now at 88 issues tagged for 2.0) -> I went through all issues that have not seen any activity in 2012. Those I either tagged for 3.0 (in the cases that it was obvious that the issue was relevant). Some I closed with the note to the issue submitter to check the issue in 2.0 (and to send a mail to the list in cases where man power is needed). Frank there is no problem. Welcome. I can tell you that I'm not satisfied with the way we build interfaces. We are working on it but as usual it takes time and effort. [Pharo-project] Extracting a ZipArchive in 2.0

Hi, I want to extract a ZipArchive in Pharo 2.0, as the title says. I'm trying to do it with this: zipArchive extractAllTo: aDirectory informing: bar overwrite: false I'm trying the new file system but my problem is that ZipArchiveMember calls a method called "assureExistence", which does not exist... anywhere. Has anyone experience something like this? Thanks, Vanessa.
